Were recruiting for an experienced Estimator to join a well-established construction organisation based in Northampton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone from a drainage or construction background who is confident in handling tender applications and internal processes and is looking for a role that combines both office and site-based work.
The successful candidate will be primarily office-based (around 90%) with occasional site visits (10%) and will work closely with the Senior Management Team to deliver accurate competitive and profitable tenders.
What youll be doing:
- Preparing and submitting detailed and accurate tender applications.
- Managing internal estimating processes and ensuring compliance at every stage.
- Liaising with the Senior Management Team to review tenders costs and profitability.
- Conducting occasional site visits to gather information assess requirements and provide accurate costings.
- Maintaining strong knowledge of industry standards construction practices and drainage systems.
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients suppliers and subcontractors.
The Candidate
- Proven experience as an Estimator within drainage or construction.
- Strong understanding of tender processes and internal estimating procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical ability.
- Confident communicator with the ability to work with senior management and external stakeholders.
- Highly organised and proactive with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
