About the Role
As a labourer youll work in a work environment where no two days are the same. Whether youre digging trenches operating heavy equipment performing maintenance or engaging with customers youll play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable operations of our natural gas systems.
Labourers cover a range of responsibilities your day-to-day tasks may include:
- Maintaining and repairing gas distribution systems to ensure safe operations.
- Assisting with the installation of new gas lines and infrastructure.
- Operate and maintain tools equipment and machinery safely and proficiently.
- Engaging with customers to resolve service issues.
- Responding to emergencies to ensure uninterrupted gas supply.
- Assemble inspect test and maintain gas meters and related equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
What Youll bring:
- High School Diploma GED or equivalent.
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Drivers License with a clean driver abstract.
- Ability to successfully complete pre-employment testing including background check and drug and alcohol screening.
- Experience in gasfitting hydrovac landscaping general labor trades construction mechanical or field service work would be an asset.
- Physical stamina for working outdoors in all weather conditions.
