The Director - Owners Engineering & System Studies is a pivotal technical leadership role responsible for managing the engineering departments ensuring exceptional consulting services and fostering innovation. This role combines technical expertise strategic vision and leadership. You will manage a team of power system engineers specializing in owners engineering design and system studies with a focus on High Voltage Substation design projects.

Providing strategic direction and technical leadership
Mentoring and developing a high-performing team
Managing a multidisciplinary team for effective execution of tasks
Enhancing organizational efficiency through process improvements
Adding structure and organization to the team to optimize performance
Managing risk for EPC T&D/Substation projects
Resolving engineering-related challenges and ensuring timely and successful project completion
Managing Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibilities for the department
Building and maintaining client relationships
Contributing to strategic planning and growth initiatives through business development and marketing efforts
Fostering a collaborative and innovative culture
Staying updated on industry trends and technological advancements
Qualifications
Bring your passion here whats needed:
7 years of experience leading an engineering team
Minimum 15 years in the power system industry
Familiarity with High Voltage Substation projects including physical layout and substation protection design & engineering packages
Deep knowledge of the utility-scale T&D/Substation market
Knowledge of industry standards regulations and best practices
Strong critical thinking organizational analysis and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage complex projects and coordinate multiple stakeholders
Proficiency in power system analysis software (e.g. PSSE PSCAD TSAT ETAP SKM PSLF) AutoCAD
Masters degree in electrical engineering or higher preferred
Professional Engineer license preferred
Strong communicator with a collaborative and empathetic approach
Experience communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
