21 st CCLC OST Site Coordinator

Background: John J. Doran Community School has been awarded federal funds to operate a
21 st CCLC out-of-school time program. The goal of the program is to improve literacy
school engagement and social emotional wellness for students by providing academic
support and enrichment activities. The site coordinator will work with school and district
leadership to build a program that enhances the school day program while adhering to
DESE requirements.

TITLE: Site Coordinator Teacher

QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a valid Massachusetts teachers license or Bachelors
degree

REPORTS TO: Program Director

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The site coordinator will:

Supervise the teachers and paraprofessionals
Oversee implementation of the program and fidelity to grant requirements
Provide embedded professional development to teachers and practitioners
Maintain attendance records for teachers and students
Collaborate with school leadership in order to deliver aligned instruction
Support engagement with parents/guardians and community partners
Work with the data analyst to collect SAYOs and other records
Attend meetings with MADESE as required
Assist in the recruitment of teachers and paraprofessionals
Ensure student safety and follow appropriate emergency protocols
Reach out to families to engage them in the program

SKILLS:

Excellent verbal and written skills
Strong knowledge of current educational practices
Be organized and able to multi-task
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong leadership skills

SALARY AND TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Approximately 12 hours per week
$41.00/hour four days per week. The site coordinator will also oversee the five-week
summer program at the school. This is a grant-funded position. Fringe benefits are not
included.
