In this role you will have the opportunity to supervise a section of the Engineering Division engaged in the application of engineering to a variety of public works capital improvement projects and construction and maintenance programs.

SAFE STREETS authorizes an annual parcel tax of $0.17 per square foot for residential properties and $0.25 per square foot for other properties over a 14-year period. This parcel tax is projected to generate approximately $15 million annually dedicated to funding street and sidewalk repairs safety improvements and environmental infrastructure projects.
This vacancy reporting directly to the Principal Program Manager will be at the center of this high-impact initiative. The role will be fast-paced challenging and critical to the success of Measure FF. The position will:
A typical way of gaining the knowledge skills and abilitiesfor this positionis equivalent to graduation from a four year college or university with major coursework in civil engineering and five years of increasingly responsible experience in design and construction management of civil engineering projects at least two years of which were at a level equivalent to the Citys Associate Civil Engineer.
Other requirements includepossession ofa valid California registration as a professional Civil Engineer and a valid California drivers license with a satisfactory driving record.
