Senior Business Development - Missile and Weapon Systems

Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Business Development Manager (Level M) to join the Missile and Weapon Systems team in Huntsville AL!

Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position along with the ability to build strong relationships collaborate in a cross-functional environment and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.

Position Responsibilities:

• Leads Business Development and Strategy team (3 direct employees) of a cross-domain weapons portfolio capturing over $1B of new orders annually and manages $30M of New Business Funds annually to include business consultant use.
• Directs all domestic capture activities for Boeing defense in Integrated Air & Missile Defense Long Range Precision Fires Strategic Missile Deterrence and Homeland Missile Defense. Specific new business captures include Integrated Fire Protection Capability 2nd Interceptor Lower Tier Futures/Lower Tier Future Interceptor Ground Launched Small Diameter Bomb Ground Launched Effects Minuteman Service Life Extension Strategic Deterrence Systems Futures Golden Dome America Under Layer all aspects of Missile Defense (BMDS CMD AMD and CUAS) and all ground launcher effector integration.
• Drives Core Franchise business growth to include PAC-3 Seeker SM-3 Avenger GMD SITR Minuteman sustainment and Boeing Repair and Sustainment Center.
• Responsible for customer understanding relationships and engagement (at all echelons) on associated portfolios with the US Army USAF Missile Defense Agency and multiple DoD Research & Development organizations.
• Lead internal Boeing Missile and Weapons Stakeholder coordination and is an active participant on three business leadership teams (IAMD SMDS and Weapons BD LT).
• Drives all portfolio inputs to the Weapons Growth and Investment Review Strategic Business Counsel Business IRAD Reviews Long Range Business Plans and Strategic Plans.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 5 years of experience with project leadership leading cross-functional teams
• Strong communication problem solving and analytical skills
• 5 years of experience preparing and presenting succinctly to executives senior leadership and external customers
• 5 years of experience in the acquisition and execution environment within the US Department of Defense (DOD) and/or the Defense Industry
• Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Masters degree or higher
