Maintenance Technican
Shift: Night shift (Sunday to Wednesday 11pm to 9am) Day shift (Friday 9am to 6pm)
Duties & responsibilities:
- Repair or replace mechanical parts and equipment
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on packaging and production equipment and regular work orders on equipment
- Troubleshooting mechanical equipment
- Welding repairs
- Follow safety and lockout procedures
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize their work load
- Can repair and work on conveyors industrial equipment pumps grinders welding equipment power tools fans blowers hydraulic systems packaging equipment and pneumatic equipment
- Must be able to work in a team type environment
- Full knowledge of hand and power tools
- Installation of equipment
- Carry out oral or printed work requests and apply corrective actions
- Account for inventory and labour on a computerized maintenance program
- Must comply with all safety regulations to provide a safe working environment for themselves and the workers in the plant
- Minimize downtime while maintaining high safety and GMP standards
- Keep detailed maintenance logs and documentation
- Maintain a clean organized and compliant work environment
- Attend and participate in all maintenance planning
Qualifications:
- Licensed 442A or 309A Industrial Electrician (Preferred but not necessary)
- 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience (packaging or manufacturing preferred)
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work shifts and overtime when required
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lb or over unassisted
