Job Summary: The Workday Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning execution and delivery of Workday Financials implementations and enhancements. This role serves as a bridge between finance stakeholders and technical teams ensuring that Workday solutions align with business goals and financial processes.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead end-to-end implementation of Workday Financials modules (e.g. General Ledger Accounts Payable/Receivable Asset Management).
- Develop and manage project plans timelines budgets and resource allocations.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including finance IT and external consultants.
- Serve as the primary liaison between finance stakeholders and Workday technical teams.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and communicate project status.
- Oversee integrations between Workday Financials and other enterprise systems.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within financial operations.
- Monitor project risks and issues and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and present regular status reports to leadership and stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including business requirements test plans and training materials.
Job Requirements: - Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration or related field.
- 3 5 years of project management experience preferably in financial systems or ERP implementations.
- Experience Managing Workday implementation or integration projects is required.
- Strong understanding of financial processes and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g. MS Project JIRA Smartsheet).
- Excellent communication leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with Workday Financials modules and reporting tools.
- Understanding of system integrations and data migration strategies.
