Job Opening: RN Emergency / Trauma Nursing

Location: Cooperstown NY 13326
Contract: 13 Weeks (Option to Extend)
Schedule: Day Shift 36 hrs/week 3x12s

Emergency Unit Details

  • Designation: Level III Trauma Center
  • 13 rooms including 2 trauma rooms
  • Daily census: 5565 patients
  • Flexible nurse-to-patient ratios

Summary
We are hiring an Emergency RN to join a high-acuity trauma center team. The nurse will handle a variety of emergencies requiring quick decision-making and exceptional clinical judgment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency care for trauma cardiac stroke psychiatric and other urgent conditions
  • Conduct triage and prioritize patient needs rapidly
  • Administer medications and carry out emergency interventions
  • Partner with ED physicians and interdisciplinary colleagues in care delivery
  • Document assessments treatments and outcomes in EMR
  • Support families with compassion and professionalism during crises

Qualifications

  • ASN in Nursing required
  • Active New York RN license
  • BLS ACLS and PALS certifications required
  • Prior Emergency/Trauma nursing experience
