Cardiac OR Surgical Tech - Operating Room
Rochester New York Level 1 Trauma Center
Schedule: 12-hour shifts Rotating Day/Evening/Night Schedules Every Other Weekend (EOW) Holidays On-Call/Callback/Charge per Unit Needs
About the Role
Step into a high-acuity environment where your skills truly make a difference. As a Cardiac OR Surgical Tech youll be part of a dynamic team in a Level 1 Trauma Center supporting a wide range of complex and lifesaving procedures. From CABG and TAVR surgeries to heart failure interventions (VADs Impella ECMO) and even organ transplants this is a role where your expertise will be challenged and valued every single day.
Youll also have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology including two DaVinci robots and support a wide variety of surgical specialties-orthopedics plastics urology neuro vascular ENT thoracic trauma and more.
Job Duties
- Assist in cardiac and multi-specialty surgical procedures as scrub and circulate tech.
- Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments.
- Collaborate with surgeons nurses and anesthesia teams in a fast-paced team-driven environment.
- Support advanced cardiac surgeries: CABG TAVR valve procedures minimally invasive and sternotomies.
- Participate in heart failure and transplant cases (VADs Impella insertion ECMO livers kidneys hearts).
Requirements
- Current NY Surgical Tech License (required)
- 2 years OR experience (Level 1 Trauma preferred)
- Ability to scrub and circulate across multiple specialties
- Cardiac surgery experience required (CABG TAVR valves VADs Impella ECMO)
- Transplant experience a plus but not required
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association only)
