Pay: HK$17286 to HK$26908 (HGPS Point 2 to Point 9) per month including Monthly Allowance

Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Handle the request for release of patient information including Medical Reports and Data Access Requests etc.

2. Assist in routine operation of Medical Records Office (MRO) patient registration services and clerical duties.

3. Cash reconciliation and perform independent checks to ensure completeness and accuracy of revenue collection.

4. Handle enquiry from internal and external stakeholders.

5. Release patient information in line with the provisions of Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.

6. Perform death documentation service.

7. Perform typing word processing and/or Chinese word processing.

8. Perform shifts duties work outside normal working hours and on Sunday andPublic holidays if required.

9. Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Entry Requirements:

1. (a) Passes in 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination including English Language (Syllabus B) Chinese Language and Mathematics or equivalent.

OR

(b) 5 subjects in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education attaining the level specified below:

  • Level 2 in English Language Chinese Language and Mathematics; and
  • Level 2 in New Senior Secondary subjects/ Attained in Applied Learning subjects/ Grade E in Other Language subjects;
    or equivalent.

2. Ability to perform typing word processing and/or Chinese word processing.

Preferred Attributes/Exposure:

1. Knowledge of HA IT systems including but not limited to Medical Records Tracing System (MRTS) Out-patient Appointment System (OPAS) and Inpatient Administrative System (IPAS).

2. Knowledge of common office automation (e.g. E-mail Internet/Intranet etc.) and PC applications (e.g. Word processing Excel Access & PowerPoint).

3. Clerical experience with good knowledge of the functions and operations in one or more of the following areas:

(i) Health informatics and record management.

(ii) Patient services including patient registration enquiries counter services.

4. Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

5. Knowledge of other dialects (e.g. Mandarin) in the light of individual job requirement.

6. Good communication and organization skills multi-tasking and able to work independently under pressure.

2. Serving Staff who have completed F.5/S.5 or equivalent and have 2 years clerical experience within HA may also be considered.
