Job Summary
Position Summary
Oregon Tech is accepting applications for Literature undergraduate Adjunct Instructors for the Humanities and Social Sciences ( HSS ) Department. The Humanities and Social Sciences Department is recruiting a pool of adjunct instructors for possible part-time teaching positions. Hired Adjunct Instructors would be teaching courses that help our students complete their General Education Humanities requirement for graduation; which are also part of our Arts Literature and Philosophy minor curriculum. Specifically the department seeks adjunct instructors to teach: Introduction to Literature; Introduction to the Humanities; Medical Humanities; Technology Society and Values; American Literature among others. Teaching Modality: Appointments may include courses offered online in person on campus in an alternative format responsive to state and local requirements . Location: The primary campus locations include the Klamath Falls campus the Portland-Metro campus (located in Wilsonville OR) and online. Teaching may be conducted remotely/online within the United States. Candidates interested in adjunct teaching positions should apply online and submit a cover letter curriculum vitae and a list of three references with contact your cover letter please specify the areas you are qualified to offer courses in and/or the specific courses you would be interested in teaching. This pool will be accessed only when an opening or need arises. Your credentials will remain active as long as the pool position is available but no more than two years. After two years if you are still interested you must reapply to the most current adjunct pool.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using Canvas or a similar Learning Management System (e.g. Blackboard). Experience using virtual meeting and collaboration tools for teaching such as Zoom Skype and Microsoft Teams.
