About the Unit

6-bed recovery unit with rapid turnover

Patient mix: cath lab (PCI) TAVR LAAO vascular IR occasional pacemakers

LOS 26 hours Avg census 612 patients daily

RN-to-patient ratio: 1:2 Step-down with occasional ICU-level patients

Role Description
We are hiring a CVRU RN to care for patients recovering from a range of cardiovascular and interventional procedures. The nurse will balance step-down responsibilities with occasional high-acuity care.

Core Duties

Provide monitoring and interventions for cardiovascular recovery patients

Manage advanced support devices when higher acuity arises (Impella IABP temp pacers)

Ensure safe patient flow and timely turnover in a busy unit

Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to optimize outcomes

Document assessments care and progress thoroughly

Qualifications

ASN in Nursing required

Active BLS and ACLS certifications

Step-down nursing experience required; ICU background preferred
