Job Description:

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Florida College of Medicine Jacksonville is pleased to announce an internal search for full-time faculty positions within the Division of Neonatology. These positions are open to current UF College of Medicine Jacksonville faculty only. Selected candidates will provide clinical care across UF Health Jacksonville UF Health North and the upcoming UF Health Durbin Park locations.

UF Health Neonatology - Jacksonville offers expert medical care for premature and critically ill newborns. These tiny patients receive the finest medical care possible in our 43-bed neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) atUF Health Jacksonville. Our team of caregivers includes board-certified faculty neonatologists of theUniversity of Florida Division of Neonatology Jacksonville as well as pediatric surgeons neonatal nurse practitioners physician assistants respiratory therapists transport specialists and other specially trained support staff who are on hand 24 hours a day to respond to newborn infants in need of highly skilled care.

This position will report to the Chief of the Division of Neonatology and Chair of the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Florida College of Medicine Jacksonville. The following is a partial description of duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical critical care to neonates and newborns as assigned by the Chief Division of Neonatology and/or designee.
  • Teach and supervise the advanced practice providers and pediatric residents.
  • Participate on committees to represent the Department of Pediatrics as required by Chief Division of Neonatology and/or designee as required.
  • Participate in monthly department faculty meetings administrative functions and institutional and hospital committees as requested.
  • The division encourages interested faculty to pursue clinical or translational research of interest.
Expected Salary:

Based on experience and academic appointment.

Required Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a MD/DO degree and be eligible for Florida Medical License.

Preferred:

Board Certified/Board Eligible Neonatology.
