The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Programmer Analyst to join the team in El Segundo CA.
The Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) Contract Direct Product Support team provides comprehensive software solutions to rapidly access and visually transform complex engineering and manufacturing product data supporting the Space & Launch organization.
The selected candidates opportunities include the development and integration of a variety of Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) and in-house software application(s) supporting our engineering and manufacturing teams. Working within a specialized team of skilled and motivated co-workers to collaborate on results this position requires a positive attitude self-motivation the ability to work in a fast-paced demanding environment and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Position Responsibilities:
Leads and performs the design program test implementation and documentation of complex computing applications and software or computing architecture and computing application system designs
Leads analysis of end user processes to define application requirements
Writes and compiles complex code based on documented design or designs application architecture that integrates application software and delivery subsystems for specific applications
Modifies or upgrades complex applications to maintain functionality and performance
Identifies and recommends improvements
Identifies and resolves complex programming or application architecture problems
Deploys and supports new applications per program needs
Researches complex or multiple processes applications systems and data to identify functional requirements for application or system design
Consults with customers to clarify and refine complex requirements
Interprets and translates complex requirements into functional specifications
Leads and performs activities to develop and execute tests to validate system functionality against specifications
BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5 years of software development experience with application integration and system architecture utilizing standard IT lifecycle methodologies and tools
5 years of experience in developing data management solutions including writing queries in Access Oracle JAVA Server Pages and interpreting the data
3 years of experience leading teams
Experience in one or more programming languages such as C#/ Java C C COLDFUSION and Web/HTML technologies (Javascript jQuery HTML5 web services REST microservices etc.) Config Management tools like Azure DevOps(ADO)/TFS Git and others
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelors degree or equivalent work or military experience
3 years of experience with ColdFusion
3 years of experience with Software Requirements
1 years of experience with AGILE Development
1 years of experience with Configuration management
1 years of experience with writing interfaces and ETL development
1 years of experience working with PDM/PLM systems
1 years of experience supporting engineering applications
