Job Summary
IT Infrastructure Engineer
Duration: 3 months to start 40 hours per week (possibly) for the first month to get caught up FYI
Onsite 2 days/week location: 10845 Kinsman Rd in Newbury Ohio 44065
Rate to Defy: $100/hr
Skillset:
Core Infrastructure & Systems
- Microsoft Server Environment: Administration and maintenance.
- Active Directory (AD): Sync with Microsoft 365; Entra ID integration (no Okta/Ping).
- Microsoft 365: Hosted by Microsoft; includes Exchange and Outlook.
- VMware: Virtualization management.
- Veeam: Backup solutions.
- Expedient / Zerto: Backup to tape (Zerto suspected needs confirmation).
Networking
- Meraki: Firewall switches and access point configuration and management.
- VPN: Setup and support as needed.
- Global Network Support: Coordination with vendors for hardware installs (e.g. switch deployment in Denmark France Belgium).
Endpoint & Device Management
- Intune: Internal use for patching and device management.
- SCCM: Used for server patch management.
- SysAid: Ticketing system (no formal change management process).
- MFA: Dual mobile authentication.
Security & Monitoring
- CrowdStrike: Endpoint protection monitoring and incident response.
- Dell SecureWorks (Taegis): Agent deployment and monitoring.
- Vulnerability Scanning: Using Taegis and Sophos.
- Incident Response: Participation in global incident calls for new issues or changes.
Communication & Collaboration
- 8x8: Experience preferred (VoIP/UCaaS platform).
Tools & Projects
- NinjaOne: Potential new deployment.
- Rubrik: New backup/DR solution under consideration.

- Provided Equipment: Company will supply phone and laptop.
