Why Our Lady of Mercy (Guilderland)

Our Lady of Mercy Life Center (OLOM) is located in the center of beautiful Guilderland at 2 Mercy Lane (near the library) an easy commute from all major highways. We provide both short-term rehabilitation and skilled nursing care in a supportive resident focused environment. Guided by the traditions of the Sisters of Mercy our team at OLOM believes each person has the right to care that emphasizes dignity respect and self-worth. We have a progressive team who embrace new ideas and technologies. Working on our subacute rehab unit you can gain clinical experience to advance your nursing practice. And as a member of our Memory Care team youll learn new treatment modalities.

Position Summary:

• Assisting in cleaning and sanitation the food service area (may include setting and clearing tables) includes dishwashing sweeping and mopping and other utility tasks
• Serve meals or prepare for delivery at times using correct portioning meeting outlined standards and ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
• Must be able to follow HACCP for correct food handling and production.
• Properly stores foods in designated areas following all corporate State and Federal food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Work effectively and maintain good working relationships with co-workers customers administrators and Managers.
• Perform job safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment and following correct procedures
• Adheres to SPHPs code of conduct

Minimum Requirements:

• Food service and customer service experience is preferred
• Working papers required if under 18 years of age
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to read and write English on at a minimum 6th grade level

Pay Range:$16.20 - $23.50

Pay is based on experience skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
