About the role

Ascot Group is seeking experienced Qualified Carpenter to join our team in Adelaide. As a Carpenter you will be responsible for constructing installing and repairing various wooden structures fixtures and fittings. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects working around Greater Adelaide.

What youll be doing

  • Read and interpret blueprints drawings and specifications to determine project requirements
  • Measure cut and assemble wooden components to construct structures such as walls floors roofs and staircases
  • Ideally has plastering skills
  • Install and repair cabinets shelves doors windows and other wooden fixtures
  • Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively to complete tasks
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople such as electricians and plumbers to ensure seamless project coordination
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment adhering to all safety protocols

What were looking for

  • Proven experience as a Carpenter with a minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in the industry preferably in commercial work
  • Strong technical skills in reading blueprints measuring cutting and assembling wooden components
  • Proficiency in the use of power tools and hand tools with a focus on safety
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to address challenges on the job
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate effectively with other tradespeople
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and organised work environment
  • Valid drivers licence and reliable transportation
