Responsibilities

The Environmental Services Supervisor will provide day-to-day supervision for the EVS department under guidance of Director and/or Manager; ensures a consistently high level of environmental hygiene and aesthetics to patients visitors and staff. This position also is responsible for daily oversight of regulatory standards financial stewardship of department operations and collaboration with other management team members to support the department in its daily functions.

Trains and develops a highly equipped and engaged Environmental Services Team using evidence-based techniques process and mission metrics (KPIs) to ensure we provide a clean safe environment as we help save lives.

Provides supervision of staff making sound business decisions in support of the hospitals mission vision and values. Demonstrates supervision in providing an optimal environment for patient care safety service and value. Supervises the day to day operations of the department; ensures a clean safe environment and aesthetics to patients family visitors physicians nurses and staff as we help save lives

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 3 Years in Environmental Services required
  • 1 Year in supervisory level experience in supervising staff - preferred
  • Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) certification preferred
