How Will You Make an Impact:
As a Material Handler II you will complete internal and external customer requests. Position will be in one of the functional areas of the warehouse including receiving picking packing and shipping.
A Day in the Life:
- Receiving examining sorting arranging counting storing picking and packing items for storage or ship in accordance with established SOP procedures and customer requirements.
- Uses powered industrial truck to various locations throughout the facility to locate materials and fulfill orders.
- Prepares accurate documentation requirements for packing and shipping of hazardous chemicals.
- Verifies accurate storage conditions of products and notifies Supervisor of any inventory issues that may arise such as Cant Find Expired Product Breakage and Out-Of-Stocks.
- Schedule order pick-ups and complete shipping through our local WMS system
- Other duties as assigned
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
- Required: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in distribution warehouse or supply chain or related field
- Preferred: Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers)
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
- Self-motivated quality-conscious individual
- Ability to remain detail oriented in fast paced environment
- Active teammate with strong work ethic
Physical Requirements / Work Environment
Regularly required to stand
Lift carry pull and push between 40-70 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally with or without assistance
Specific PPE required; including gloves safety glasses steel-toed shoes etc.
