The Site Quality Manager is responsible for providing clear leadership for the development of an environment focused on Quality. Develop quality-process links with customers in line with the Quality Management system including ISO 90001 Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) Controls Plans Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) processes and oversee continued compliance and embedding across the business. Responsible for maintaining relationships with Operations to maximize profit potential and ensure efficiency. Manage the audit program as well as Continuous improvement and play a key role in ensuring project deliveries. Work proactively with all Directors Managers Supervisors and Employees to maintain a program of continual improvement within their areas of responsibility. Lead a correct at source and problem-solving methodology (Lean). Lead the team to achieve quality targets for customers and business goals.

This position reports to the Quality Director - Energy and is part of the Quality Team located in Timonium MD and will be an on-site role.

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead the implementation of the quality strategy policies processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance.
  • Lead maintain and ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Lead and represent subject matter expert in CAPA as well as continual improvement problem identification resolution and business improvement opportunities within the organization
  • Lead and host Internal audit; External/Customer audit(s)
  • Retains/Preservation Develop implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility
  • Set department objectives and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering/manufacturing or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Prior people leadership experience with excellent leadership and people management skills to manage a variety of cross-functional team members
  • Experience with hosting and communicating with customers and suppliers
  • Strong in problem-solving team building planning and decision making including Lean / Six Sigma tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis software
  • Excellent interpersonal organizational and communication skills

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of supervisor/leadership experience
  • Commercial awareness and exposure

Travel Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel as needed estimated at 10 - 30%

The range for this role is $100000 - $135000 per year. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
