POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The new rheumatology nurse practitioner or physician assistant will work in a collaborative dynamic environment with an integrated multi-disciplinary care team.
Providers are supported by highly-trained clinical assistants and on-site management in comfortable modern settings. This includes scribes and staff to perform clinical administrative tasks ensuring providers are able to focus solely on patient care.
Duties of the role include but are not limited to:
- review patient histories
- perform physical examinations
- consult with patients and physicians to determine courses of treatment
- provide treatments and care plans
- communicate effectively with the clinical team to ensure total delivery of quality care
Providers see a variable number of patients per day based upon patient needs and types of appointments scheduled.
The office uses the AthenaHealth EHR.
REQUIREMENTS:
- New York NP or PA license
- DEA
- 1 year advanced practice experience
- 1 year rheumatology experience
