Requirements:

a Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences Masters degree will be preferred
one year traineeship at the Clinical Laboratory at AKU or two to three years of relevant experience preferably in a laboratory or hospital thorough knowledge of laboratory testing procedures
good written and verbal communication skills
willingness to work in shifts.

Job Role / Responsibilities:
Reporting to Manager / Assistant Manager of your assigned section you will be required to perform Clinical and Bio-chemical tests as per the departmental policy / procedure manual on a daily basis to ensure quality service and timely preparation of the final reports. You will be responsible to:
perform clinical tests independently according to the standard operating procedures and ensure quality of results
participate in staff training according to laboratory guidelines and also participate in educational opportunities
assist supervisor in the implementing the safety standards according to Laboratory Safety Guidelines
confirm unusual findings with the senior technologist / Charge Technologist /Pathologist to avoid any misleading results going out to the patients as and when required.
