Job Summary
Are you a data-driven professional with a passion for transforming numbers into actionable business insights Were seeking a Business Reporting Analyst to join a dynamic finance team in Cape Town helping guide strategic decision-making through meaningful analysis of operational and customer data.
In this role you will explore and analyze available data design dashboards and present insights that influence business strategy. You will work closely with management to identify trends propose improvements and ensure reporting is accurate timely and easy to interpret.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain statistical reporting processes
Extract clean and analyze raw data to ensure accuracy and actionable insights
Design and document innovative solutions using Power BI and other BI tools
Generate ad-hoc reports and analyze significant variances in operational or financial data
Interpret customer behavior demographics and spending patterns
Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions
Maintain workflow databases and optimize business workflows
Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant regulatory requirements
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Matric and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science Data Science Statistics Business Analytics or a related quantitative field
Minimum 35 years of experience in data analysis report creation and dashboard development
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including VBA programming
Experience with BI tools (Power BI or equivalent) and statistical software (SPSS SQL Power Query etc.)
Knowledge of data warehousing ETL and business workflows
Strong analytical problem-solving and presentation skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated deadline-oriented and able to work independently
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
