South Africas leader in Waste Management is searching for an experiencedKey Account Consultantto join their company. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managingthe Western Cape region and surroundings in order to achieve profitable sales growth in line with the company budget and strategy through the growth of sales including new and existing aim is to continuously seek new opportunities and ways to improve the profitability and service levels of the business. You will also be responsible for all functions inherent with the position including but not limited to administration functions operational performance through collaboration with the operations department as well as ensuring adherence to all policies procedures processes and relevant legislation.

In order to be considered for this role you must have the following:

  • Matric
  • A tertiary qualification
  • 3-5 years sales experience with a successful sales track record
  • General knowledge of the major industries in which key accounts operate
  • Knowledge of the waste industry
  • Hazardous/Industrial waste markets
  • Current legislation and minimum requirements

Key Responsibilities (not Limited to):

  • Ensure Annual Revenue Growth against set targets

  • Ensure profitability of all Key Accounts

  • Pricing of key quotes tenders and proposals

  • Revenue forecasting

  • Submit monthly reports indicating terminations cleanups new business and existing business

  • Ensure all contracts and agreements (Operational SLA On-site) are in place

  • Monitor contract anniversary expiry and annual price adjustment

  • Ensure a signed copy is on file

  • To be the first point of contact for all waste management queries

  • Anticipate customer needs and suggest solutions / consult with TDS to develop alternative technologies which may assist the customer to minimise / recycle and / or re-use

  • Have first-hand knowledge of customers environmental strategy and commercial and operating strategy

  • Formulate sales and technical strategies to meet and improve customer requirements for waste solutions

  • Be innovative in the development of customer solutions

  • Ensure customer satisfaction by optimising client service levels

  • Ensure all waste assessments and route audits are done

  • Be the point of contact between the companyand customer personnel to ensure efficient client management at all levels

  • Infiltrate key customer organisations with a view to becoming a business partner

  • Ensure the appropriate type of service is offered to meet the customers needs

  • Maximise the clients satisfaction while obtaining the required minimum returns for providing the service

  • Ensure hidden opportunities are identified and developed

  • Monitor and assess client service levels

  • Keep up to date with current legislation and minimum requirements

  • Assist in special projects regarding new services offered or any other sales projects

  • Liaise with operational personnel on service quality

  • Liaise with finance and debtors on invoice billing quality and debtors days

  • Liaise with technical disposal solutions on technical queries and solutions

  • Network with people at all levels

  • Gather market and competitor information to assist in establishing market trends and developments
