Description of Service Opportunity:
The Excel Tutoring program launched during the 2023-2024 school year to provide additional afterschool academic support to students who need it most. Now entering its third year the Excel Tutoring program supports hundreds of students across our elementary and upper schools.
The Excel Tutoring program is an in-person afterschool high-impact tutoring program in the Cambridge Public Schools. Excel Tutoring uses intensive relationship-based and personalized instruction to accelerate learning for students who are performing two or more grade levels below expectations.
We offer two 10-week sessions throughout the school year. The Program Coordinator supports the logistical and operational components of the program for the district. Duties include: assigning staff to service agreements and processing weekly payment vouchers; creating and monitoring program documents for eligible students staff/student attendance and curriculum; collaborating with the program lead to maintain program budget; generating purchase order for program orders; ordering snacks; mainttaining regular communication with program lead; responding to program inquiries; and other duties as assigned.

Please note that your hourly rate is depending upon your collective bargaining agreement or individual hourly rate.
MinimumRequirements:
Experience working with school-aged children in an urban setting
Strong organizational and classroom management skills
Ability to collaborate with colleagues in support of students
Priority will be given to regularly appointed staff from Cambridge Public School District
Length of Contract:
September 15 2025 through December 19 2025
Contract Amount
Not exceed $4000.00
Please note that your hourly rate is dependent upon your collective bargaining agreement or individual hourly rate. If you are a non-exemptemployee and have worked more than 40 hours a week you will be paid time and a half for any hours worked over 40 hours
