Position: Contract Front-End Developer

Location: Remote

Contract Duration: 3 Months

About the Client

Our client is a dynamic and growing fintech company specialising in pensions and administration. They are at the forefront of streamlining financial services through innovative digital solutions. With multiple UK offices they are committed to leveraging technology to create efficient and compliant platforms for their clients.

Project Overview

The company is undertaking a critical project to build a series of new client portals. These portals are designed to provide a robust and user-friendly system for the administration of pension and investment products ultimately helping to streamline their outsourced services.

Prototypes for these portals have already been developed. The successful candidate will be responsible for bringing these prototypes to life building a secure scalable and highly functional system that adheres strictly to all Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain front-end applications using React.
Integrate front-end components with back-end APIs built in C#.
Ensure all code is clean well-structured and performs optimally.
Collaborate closely with the back-end developers product managers and design team.
Implement robust security measures and data protection protocols to comply with FCA standards.
Participate in code reviews to maintain high quality and consistency.
Troubleshoot debug and upgrade existing software.

Required Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a Front-End Developer with a strong portfolio of projects.
Extensive professional experience with React and its core principles (hooks state management).
Strong understanding of C# and experience in integrating with C# back-end APIs.
Solid proficiency in JavaScript (ES6) HTML5 and CSS3.
Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development.
Demonstrable knowledge of the financial services sector specifically within pensions and investments.
A clear understanding of the regulatory landscape and experience building systems that are compliant with FCA rules and regulations.

Desirable Skills

Experience with modern state management libraries such as Redux or Zustand.
Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Experience in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
