Job Summary

Aborn Pet Hospital is growing! We just completed a full hospital renovation with added exam rooms. We are currently looking to hire Part-Time Veterinary Assistants to join our team!

Salary: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour depending on experience education certifications licensure and location.
Schedule: Part-time up to three 8-hour shifts per week. Must be willing to work on Saturday. Closed Sunday and Major Holidays.

Our busy four doctor practice sees a variety of pets from cats and dogs to small mammals and birds. Weaim to provide owners with sound honest choices for their pets and to provide our patients with excellent and compassionate medical care. Who You Are:

1 year of veterinary clinical experience as a veterinary assistant
Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
Experience with proper animal handling and restraint of cats and dogs
Ability to perform nursing care in a veterinary hospital setting
Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
Collect laboratory samples for urinalysis cytology bloodwork fecal analysis
Administer medications vaccines and treatments per doctor orders
Assist veterinarians with exams treatments and surgical procedures
Ensure a clean safe and organized work environment
