Job Summary
Are you ready to shape the maritime future An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Uncrewed Platform division which is seeking to strengthen its team for AUV and USV support.
Kongsberg Discoverys Uncrewed Platforms division provides AUVs (Autonomous Underwater Vehicles) and USVs (Autonomous Surface Vessels) for both military and civilian applications. These vessels are equipped with cutting-edge technology that enables data acquisition in previously inaccessible areas of the seabed. The Hugin AUV operates at depths of up to 6000 meters and can be outfitted with a variety of custom sensors to gather specific information and data. Our HUGIN products are the worlds leading autonomous underwater vehicles delivering a comprehensive range of detailed information. Currently we are a team of five professionals providing services to our customers worldwide.
In this position as Service and Support Advisor you will be an integral part of the team contributing to our customers operational success. Our goal is to minimize downtime primarily through office support telephone and email communication. You will be a key liaison between KONGSBERG Discovery and our valued customers ensuring seamless communication and support.
Your role and key responsibilities:
- Technical Expertise:Provide comprehensive technical support for KONGSBERG Discoverys full range of Hugin AUV and USV systems leveraging your knowledge of hydroacoustic sensors and electronics.
- Customer Engagement:Serve as the primary contact in GCS for customers both generally and for specific accounts fostering strong relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Problem Solving:Conduct extensive troubleshooting on customer issues utilizing your expertise to resolve complex technical challenges and minimize downtime.
- On-Call Support:Participate in duty phone rotations as an on-call engineer providing timely assistance and solutions to urgent customer needs.
- Innovation and Collaboration:Work closely with a diverse team spread across several countries embracing collaboration and cultural diversity to drive innovation and excellence.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience with hydroacoustic sensors and expertise in post-processing.
- Knowledge of electronics and/or computer systems.
- Proficiency in post-processing sensor data and performing quality checks.
- Bachelors degree in Electronics Data or other relevant fields.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent collaboration skills.
- Travel required occasionally.
