The successful candidate will be responsible for driving production performance leading a high-performing team and aligning manufacturing and quality outcomes with the companys strategic goals. Expertise in mechanical systems a proven record of operational excellence and leadership experience in a low-volume manufacturing environment are essential.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and hands-on management of all production and quality operations within the manufacturing facility demonstrating resilience and support during challenging periods.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve production throughput efficiency and on-time delivery.
  • Oversee and complete quality assurance processes to ensure products meet or exceed company and customer standards.
  • Drive lean manufacturing initiatives to eliminate waste reduce costs and improve workflow.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for production and quality.
  • Collaborate with engineering supply chain and leadership teams to support product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage and mentor production and quality personnel to build a high-performance team culture.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action activities to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal policies customer requirements and industry standards (e.g. ISO IATF).
  • Develop and manage department budgets resource planning capital investment and building management initiatives.
  • Support and lead audits both internal and external as necessary.
  • Champion a culture of safety accountability and continuous improvement across the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in low-volume high-complexity production.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems and standards such as ISO 9001 or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated success in driving production throughput and process efficiency.
  • Hands-on experience implementing lean manufacturing principles (e.g. 5S Kaizen Value Stream Mapping).
  • Technical acumen in mechanical systems manufacturing processes and product quality requirements.
  • Excellent skills in root cause analysis problem-solving and corrective/preventive action.
  • Proficiency with production planning and performance metrics.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams build strong relationships and communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to safety continuous improvement and operational excellence
