- Supervise daily workshop operations to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs and maintenance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues on European trucks particularly Renault and Volvo models.
- Oversee trailer maintenance and repairs ensuring safety and compliance with transport regulations.
- Lead and mentor workshop staff including technicians and apprentices fostering skill development and adherence to standards.
- Coordinate job assignments and resource allocation optimizing use of tools parts and personnel.
- Ensure quality control by inspecting completed work and verifying that repairs meet manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate service records job cards and inventory logs for parts and equipment.
- Implement safety protocols and workshop policies promoting a safe and organized working environment.
- Liaise with fleet managers and clients providing updates on vehicle status and repair timelines.
- Monitor and manage workshop budgets including cost control for parts labor and outsourced services.
Key Skills:
- At least 10 years experience in a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with European trucks particularly Renault and Volvo as well as a solid understanding of truck trailers.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.

Qualifications:
- Qualification in Motor Mechanics.
- Apprenticeship trained.
