The University of Kansas Health System Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology is seeking a gastroenterologist faculty member to join its expanding team to support the departmental mission of delivering the highest quality of care as well as satisfying teaching research and academic responsibilities at the regions quaternary referral center.
The candidate should be fellowship-trained board certified or equivalent and eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package as well as opportunities for professional growth and development. We will consider new graduate GIs.
About the position:
Full spectrum of general gastroenterology including upper and lower endoscopy procedures; combined clinic and hospital-based practice and hospital call rotation to cover inpatient and ED consults. Training and experience with gastrointestinal bleeding; esophageal disorders; inflammatory bowel disease; and gastrointestinal cancers. Preferred skills but not : ERCP and EUS
Serve as a clinical educator to GI fellows residents and medical students
Gastroenterology team comprised of 18 GI faculty 7 Transplant Hepatologists (10 total Hepatology Faculty) 3 IBD Faculty and 21 APPs
Average daily census is 25
Endoscopy suites (main campus - 6 and ASC/other outpatient center - 4; with expansion we will have additional rooms)
