The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Research Engineer Data Analysis to join our Data Analysis this role you will contribute to the research and development of structural health condition monitoring solutions for the railway industry.

Working under the guidance of the Data Analysis Team Leader you will:

  • Undertake complex and bespoke design solutions to address practical engineering challenges in structural health monitoring systems.
  • Apply industry design standards and practices across both hardware and software development.
  • Work with a wide variety of sensors including accelerometers acoustic sensors and imaging systems.
  • Support Monash IRTs state-of-the-art condition monitoring systems ensuring continuous operation and accurate reporting to industry partners.
  • Contribute to the development of new reporting tools and collaborate with partner groups and IRT engineers.
  • Engage directly with industry partners requiring a high degree of professionalism maturity and strong organisational skills.
