Job Summary
About the Role
We are looking for a experienced Press Secretary to lead communications within a Ministers a Press Secretary you will be responsible for supporting a Minister with the development and promotion of key strategies. The nature of this position requires you to both plan and prepare a story before it happens as well as create the narrative.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement media strategies in collaboration with senior staff.
- Coordinate media responses press releases and public statements.
- Ensure consistent messaging and media engagement across Government.
- Translate complex policy and legislative content into clear messaging
- Monitor media and political landscapes to inform communications strategy
- Collaborate closely with the Ministers team and key stakeholders
Ideal Candidate
- Experience in political communications or media relations.
- Ability to manage high-pressure media environments.
- Excellent writing and editorial skills.
- Understanding of the political landscape and public sector communications.
