**Occupational Therapist Job Duties:**
- Screen and evaluate patients who have problems with thinking daily activities or physical abilities. Create a care plan that follows rules and practices.
- Use tests and proven methods to help with treatment.
- Provide necessary therapy to patients with thinking and daily activity issues following all required rules and standards.
- Perform different rehabilitation activities such as helping patients with daily tasks exercises using devices and other therapeutic activities.
- Check how well patients are doing and change treatments if needed keeping records according to rules.
- Look at the treatment results to see if they work well. Change services based on patient evaluations and refer them if needed.
- Offer advice and support to patients and their families or caregivers about physical issues.
- Communicate well with supervisors and other health team members about patient progress challenges and treatment plans.
- Provide a complete summary of services given to patients when they finish treatment following all requirements.
- Write down all necessary information in the electronic system and keep patient records according to company rules.
- Record the time spent on treatments according to all rules and requirements.
- Attend required meetings like patient care reviews and rehabilitation meetings.
- Participate in mandatory training and conferences.
- Get any needed equipment or supplies following the rules.
- Supervise and support occupational therapy assistants rehab aides and students.
- Follow the required ethical and professional standards in practice.
**Requirements:**
- 1 year of experience in Occupational Therapy is required.
- Experience in Long-Term Care or Rehabilitation is required.
- An Occupational Therapy license is required.
- Must submit the application at the posted pay rate; if you ask for a higher rate you may be redirected.
**State License Requirements:**
- For Missouri: Compact License is allowed.
