**Job Duties**
- Screen and help patients who have problems with movement or wounds. Create a care plan that follows rules and standards.
- Use tests and proven methods to help guide treatments.
- Perform various procedures in the rehabilitation plan like hands-on techniques walking assistance exercises and using special devices for support and wound care.
- Check how well the patient is doing and change treatments as needed keeping records that meet rules and standards.
- Review treatment results to see if they are working. Change services based on what is learned and refer patients if necessary.
- Offer advice and support to patients their families caregivers and other providers about physical issues.
- Share updates with your supervisor and other team members about the patients progress and any challenges.
- Write a complete summary of the services provided when the patient is finished with treatment following rules and guidelines.
- Record all necessary information in the electronic system and keep patient records according to company policies.
- Keep accurate track of treatment time for services provided following all regulations and standards.
- Attend required meetings such as discussions about patient care and reviews of service use.
- Join in training sessions workshops and conferences that are required by the facility and company.
- Order any necessary medical equipment or supplies as per rules and health care standards.
- Oversee and support physical therapist assistants and students.
- Follow the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) guidelines and state laws maintaining ethics and professional behavior as a Physical Therapist.
Requirements**
- 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist - Required
- Experience in long-term care or rehabilitation - Required
- Missouri State License - Required
