Description
We are currently seeking experienced MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Radiologists (Chief of Trauma Surgery). As a Radiologist you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients through medical imaging. Your expertise will be vital in providing accurate and timely interpretations of various imaging tests such as X-rays MRIs and CT scans. Responsibilities:
- Interpret and analyze diagnostic imaging tests to provide accurate diagnoses.
- Consult with referring physicians to discuss diagnostic results and collaborate on patient care.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during imaging procedures.
- Stay updated on advancements in radiology technology and techniques.
- Maintain detailed patient records and reports.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases.
- Adhere to all regulatory and safety standards in the interpretation and reporting of imaging studies.
- Provide guidance and supervision to radiologic technologists and other staff.
Requirements:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Radiology.
- Valid state medical license to practice as a Radiologist.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in diagnostic interpretations.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development in the field of Radiology.
About the Position:
- Level I trauma center
- Shift Information: 7a-4p and 4p-11p
- Schedule: 3.5 clinical days per week and 1.5 days of admin
- No call
- Will attend meetings and oversee the department
- Predominately CT will have a good volume of US and Xray as well
- EMR: Epic
- Must be board-certified
