OPEN UNTIL FILLED

The adjunct faculty instructor of information technology will teach college level IT courses at Alamance Community College. A person in this role may be called upon to teach curriculum courses in information technology such as Introduction to Computers Network & Security Foundations Technology Crimes & Law Security Concepts Linux Administration Information Systems Business Concepts Spreadsheet Data Analysis the Cisco CCNA Sequence or Windows Administration. Instructors who apply will be contacted based upon the stated skill set as it matches the projected need in an upcoming semester at the college. Adjunct instructors are needed for sections across a variety of delivery modes (traditional seated online and/or hybrid).

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Typical Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
M.S. Information Technology Information Systems Computer Science or other emerging field related to the instructional need. The degree must be from an accredited institution of higher learning.

Certificates Licenses Registrations
The following certifications are not required but add value.

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
  • A programming language certification
  • AWS Data Engineering or Machine Learning
  • Cisco CyberOps Associate
  • CompTIA Security
  • CompTIA Network
