Physical Therapist (PT) LTC/SNF - Travel Position
Location: Oxford MS

Pay: $2515/week
Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Physical Therapist (PT) to join a skilled nursing and long-term care facility in Oxford MS on a travel contract. The PT will assess plan and implement therapy programs designed to restore mobility reduce pain and promote independence for residents. The ideal candidate is patient-centered detail-oriented and experienced in working with geriatric populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments to determine rehabilitation needs and functional goals.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and care teams.
- Provide therapeutic exercises gait training balance activities and mobility interventions.
- Educate patients families and caregivers on therapy programs safe mobility and use of adaptive equipment.
- Accurately document evaluations progress and treatment outcomes per facility and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to ensure coordinated and effective care.
- Promote patient independence safety and quality of life through evidence-based therapy practices.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Masters in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current and valid Physical Therapist license in Mississippi (or compact license).
- Minimum of 1 year of PT experience preferably in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- COVID vaccine and recent TB test.
- Strong communication organizational and clinical assessment skills.
- Compassionate approach with experience supporting geriatric patients.
