Role Description:

As a Technical Analyst at Capco you will play a key role in supporting IT projects within the Financial Services industry with a focus on producing and reviewing technical documentation and ensuring alignment between development and functional requirements. With a background in software development you will bring your hands-on experience in COBOL Java and SQL to assess the feasibility and completeness of proposed solutions collaborate with cross-functional teams and support the overall quality and maintainability of deliverables.

We are open to both full-time and freelance collaborations.

As part of the consulting team the Technical Analyst will:

  • Draft review and maintain technical documentation including specifications architecture diagrams and integration documents.
  • Conduct technical reviews of deliverables to ensure compliance with requirements and standards.
  • Collaborate with developers functional analysts and architects to clarify technical approaches and ensure traceability of requirements.
  • Identify and communicate risks or inconsistencies in technical implementations.
  • Support development and testing phases with technical insight and troubleshooting when required.

Skills and Experience

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • At least 2 years experience as a Technical Analyst or similar role in IT projects (preferably in Financial Services).
  • Solid hands-on experience with COBOL Java and SQL.
  • Proven ability to read write and understand complex technical documentation.
  • Experience collaborating with both technical and functional teams in structured project environments.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle processes and tools.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in Agile or hybrid project methodologies.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related technical fields.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git) and ticketing systems (e.g. JIRA).
