As a Senior Data Engineer in our Managed Services team youll play a key role in supporting and enhancing modern data platforms for our clients. This is a hands-on role where youll be trusted to take ownership solve complex problems and continuously improve the solutions we manage. Youll also have the opportunity to grow your skills through structured learning and Microsoft certifications.
In this role you will:
- Monitor and manage production Data & Analytics solutions to ensure performance and reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents and technical issues across Azure-based data platforms
- Develop and deploy enhancements and optimisations to existing solutions
- Build and configure automation tools to streamline operations and reduce manual effort
- Work directly with end-users and customers providing expert support and guidance
Well invest heavily in your on-going development through access to formal training in-house development sessions mentoring and external gatherings. We cover the cost of study for Microsoft certification exams to make sure you reach your full potential and you will have personal development time allocated to ensure you have time to learn.
Required Experience
- Experience working in a Managed Services team supporting Azure-based production Data & Analytics ETL/integration solutions (e.g. Synapse Databricks Data Factory Fabric Function Apps Power BI) in line with SLAs
- Strong hands-on skills in Python and SQL
- Proven ability to identify investigate and resolve complex technical issues
- Experience with ticket management and communicating directly with customers/end-users via phone tickets and email
Advantageous Experience
- Familiarity withITIL practicesand service management frameworks
- Experience enhancingdata pipelines notebooks andPower BI reports/models
- Knowledge ofPySparkScala Spark (C#)SSAS andSSIS
- Exposure toAzure infrastructure(e.g. VMs VNETs security configurations)
- Microsoft certificationssuch asDP-203orDP-600
