Job Summary

Please note that this position is based in either San Diego CA or Princeton NJ. Acadias hybrid model requires this role to work in our office three days per week on average.

Position Summary:

This position is a strategic and analytical partner within the People and Performance function responsible for delivering insights that drive data informed decisions operational efficiency and compliance. This role blends analytics process optimization and compliance oversight to support key initiatives across the employee life cycle.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead compliance reporting efforts and the timely filing of all Federal State and Locally mandated HR compliance-related reporting and filing requirements including but not limited to EEO-1 Vets-4212 CA Pay Data
  • Regularly audits personnel data in Workday for discrepancies (e.g. Home location mismatch with work location)
  • Works closely with Payroll IT and other departments to administer employee data requests and resolve issues
  • Manages the attendance tracking data and reporting
  • Manages monitors and administers Workers Compensation policy and benefits to ensure compliance with medical treatment recordkeeping and administration requirements.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for workers compensation administration.
  • Collaborates with internal and external partners to stay abreast of new and changing HR reporting/filing and notification requirements
  • Manage time-off processes in Workday and ADP. Respond to employee inquiries troubleshoot issues track borrowed and unpaid time-off requests follow-up with managers on unapproved time-off requests prepare quarterly SOX audits for Finance department
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of SOPs and workflows for HR processes and assist with the administration of procedural change management
  • Responsible for the collection and compilation of data for HR projects such as Workforce Planning Attendance Facilities Planning Total Rewards Statements etc.
  • Prepares census reports for AAP; interfaces with internal and external partners to address reporting needs
  • Works with internal departments as needed in support of internal and external audits
  • Support the implementation and optimization of People & Performance systems and tools ensuring data integrity and usability
  • Provides project support for various People & Performance initiatives and ad hoc projects as needed (e.g. Workforce Planning Metrics Org Charts etc.)
  • Performs other assignments as directed.

Education/Experience/Skills:

Bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience may be considered. Masters preferred. A minimum of 5-8 years related experience in HR Operations Data Analytics HR Compliance and/or Human Resources focused role. Experience within a life sciences/pharma environment preferred. Position may require occasional overnight travel.

Must Possess:

  • Background in HR compliance business processes HR administration and implementation
  • Proficiency in using the latest versions of Microsoft Office including Outlook Word and PowerPoint
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel (e.g.: pivot tables V-Lookups Macros etc.)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in data management and analytics
  • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulatory requirements (e.g. FLSA WC EEO etc.)
  • Excellent verbal/written and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivation team orientation and a pro-active approach to work
  • Highest level of integrity and the ability to maintain confidential information
  • Ability to accomplish multiple projects work assignments and priorities with little supervision
  • Ability to work under pressure organize and prioritize projects and workload working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive approach and demeanor

    Physical Requirements

    This role involves regular standing walking sitting and the use of hands for handling or operating equipment. The employee may also need to reach climb balance stoop kneel crouch and maintain visual verbal and auditory communication both in a standard office environment and while working independently from remote locations. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. This position requires the ability to travel independently overnight and/or work after hours as required by travel schedule or business needs.
