General Summary:
To plan organize and manage day to day operation of the resident food service system.
Essential Functions:
- Establishes and monitors cleaning schedule for proper sanitation trayline and dishroom.
- Develops and implements educational programs (in service job training and orientation).
- In coordination with Dietary Director schedules and evaluates (performance appraisal) all full and part time employees.
- Attends department meetings.
- Is responsible for departments operational excellence; assures department delivers quality services in accordance with applicable policies procedures and professional standards.
- Attains all agreed to goals and objectives within specified time frames as part of the organizations overall mission.
- Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients families visitors and fellow employees to ensure a professional responsible and courteous environment.
- Promotes effective working relations and works effectively as part of a department/unit team inter and intra departmentally to facilitate the departments/units ability to meet its goals and objectives.
- Evaluates food items served to patients as to acceptability flavor etc.
- Monitors nourishment station consumption against budgeted supplies and sanitation.
- Perform relief replacement for all positions
