Description
Title:Director of Workforce Training and Apprenticeships
Bargaining Unit/Salary Level:Salary and Benefits commensurate with the Agreement between the MCCS Trustees and the MEA Administrators Unit. This position is classified as a Level IV and budgeted for a salary in the low $60s.
Responsibilities:Reporting to the Dean of Workforce & Professional Development the Director of Workforce Training and Apprenticeships is responsible for managing coordinating and implementing the Colleges workforce training and professional development services. The position manages the project cycle for customized training programs and creates a professional development schedule with assignments and the contracting of instructors. The Director collaborates with college administrators faculty and staff regarding workforce training and professional development activities. The position will oversee the creation and entry of workforce courses in Anthology and Lumens along with creation of course codes for consistent tracking and data collection. The director will help manage and coordinate budgets registration contracts curriculum development and course set up and delivery. The position will work with the Department of Labor and area employers to establish apprenticeship pathways.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree
- Experience in grant writing or grant management
- Skills in resource management and budget planning
Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Masters degree
- Two years of management experience
- Experience with program management and development as well as marketing and knowledge of good marketing practices
