Job Summary

RN-NICU Director (Permanent Role)

Location: Austin TX 73301

Shift: Variable Shift

Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)

Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the day-to-day operations of the NICU ensuring quality and efficiency in care delivery.
Oversee budgeting staffing scheduling and performance evaluations within the NICU.
Develop and implement departmental goals standards and policies aligned with organizational objectives.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians nurses and support staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
Ensure compliance with all state federal and regulatory body requirements including Joint Commission standards.
Promote a culture of safety excellence and continuous improvement.
Support recruitment onboarding and retention of NICU staff.
Provide mentorship and leadership development to nursing staff.
Monitor key performance indicators and lead quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

Education:
- Bachelors Degree or approved education plan required.
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Masters Degree preferred.
Licensure & Certifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas or an active compact license.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) preferred.
- FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring) preferred.
- RNC-OB certification preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in healthcare is required.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in a NICU Director role is required.
