Job Description70% Provide logistical and operational support for the School of Business Events Team including managing Capitol Federal Hall weekly room requests assisting with the creation and innovation of new and existing events and supporting event operations such as nametag preparation report generation and volunteer scheduling.
15% Support Business School programs by assisting with event setup and breakdown as well as maintaining and organizing the gift closet. This will include physical labor during events.
10% Assist in overseeing and coordinating the School of Business fall and spring graduation ceremonies.
5% Perform other duties as assigned.

3. Must be able to support event setup and breakdown including moving furniture signage and decorations.
4. Familiarity with Microsoft suite software.

Position OverviewThe School of Business Deans Office is seeking an Event Assistant to assist with a broad range of event coordination and management duties. The position provides hands-on experience in event coordination.
The Event Assistant will work from hire date through the May School of Business Graduation Ceremony.
Throughout their employment student employees will maintain and manifest positive actions that align with and support the Code of Conduct for the School of Business.

Position RequirementsDuring the semester term of the appointment the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
