Operations Intern, SBA

About the Position:

The Small Business Administration (SBA) Operations Intern will support and actively participate in a team environment with duties assigned to support the SBA departments project management and process improvement initiatives.

What You Will Do:

• Assist project team with overall project initiatives and help drive project timelines
• Assist with tasks such as process mapping data collection audit review trend analysis preparing strategic reports and circulating infographics as the result of process changes
• Track project progress and process improvements
• Update and maintain project documentation such as project files change log lessons learned etc.
• Attend and document project meetings
• Assist in system and process testing prior to implementation
• Support file organization and periodic administrative functions as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

What Were Looking For:

• Current Sophomore or Junior with demonstrated interest in data analytics project management operations management process improvement banking and/or small business
• This internship requires an ongoing pursuit of a college degree preferably in Project Management
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
• Excellent process mapping skills
• Proficient with personal computers including Microsoft Excel Visio Outlook and Word applications
• Experience with Tableau preferred
• Must be able to commit to 30-40 hour work week Monday-Friday 8-5pm EST

Working Conditions/Demands:

• Professional office setting.
• Primarily sedentary position requiring long periods of time working at a computer.
• Must be able to move throughout the office and buildings to obtain or relay information.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
