A Nutrition Services Associate-Cook as part of the team is responsible for the preparation and cooking of all meals in the kitchen following established standardized recipes.
Qualifications:
- HS Diploma/GED or equivalent
- Experience in school cafeteria work including but not limited to food preparation food service and food safety HACCP program.
Demonstrates knowledge relevant to the position - Ability to work effectively with teachers support staff and parents and advocate for children in order to effectively problem solve
- Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills and ability to work with all stakeholders
- Belief in the commitment to increasing personal growth both academic and social-emotional to obtain the highest level of achievement for every student.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Nutrition Services Associate-Cook is also responsible for
- maintaining all food safety standards of meal preparation including but not limited to completing daily temperature logs food holding temperature logs and food cooling procedures as well as maintaining high standards of sanitation and cleanliness of the assigned school kitchen.
- The Nutrition Services Associate-Cook is also responsible for conferring with the cafeteria Manager each day to review production amounts batch cooking times and daily production record keeping.
