Administrative Support Staff
Position Overview
The States Attorneys Office for Charles County is seeking detail-oriented organized and professional candidates to provide critical administrative support to prosecutors. This position plays a key role in case preparation data management and public service in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist prosecutors with case preparation and scheduling.
- Maintain and organize case files both electronic and physical.
- Enter and update information accurately in electronic case management systems.
- Answer and route phone calls professionally.
- Interact with victims witnesses law enforcement and the public.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook) and Adobe.
- Ability to quickly learn specialized software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Accuracy and attention to detail in handling sensitive information.
- Ability to view objectionable or graphic material related to criminal cases.
- Minimum typing speed of 50 WPM.
