We are seeking a motivatedCost Segregation Engineerto join our team in Colombia.
This position will support all engineering-related aspects of our cost segregation studies working closely with our engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform cost segregation studies using engineered cost methodologies.
- Analyze floor plans surveys appraisals and property inspections to extract data for asset classification.
- Identify construction components and materials from public records and client-provided documentation.
- Classify assets into appropriate categories and apply depreciation methods based on placed-in-service dates and property conditions.
- Calculate replacement costs and allocate values to determine depreciation percentages.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and refine scalable processes for estimates.
- Review and organize client-provided documentation (floor plans site maps appraisal reports contractor invoices etc.).
- Prepare and refine client-facing reports based on cost segregation data.
- Utilize software tools including HubSpot for reporting and workflow support.
Qualifications
- 12 years of experience in the construction industry(ideally civil engineers open to considering industrial and mechanical engineers depending on experience).
- Proficiency withRevitorSketchUp(required).
- Strong Excel skills and ability to work with technical data.
- Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Self-starter with a reliable work ethic and the ability to learn quickly.
Work Setup
Full-time 40 hours per week (MonFri 8am6pm CT).
Requires a computer and dual-monitor setup.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary:$1300 USD/month performance-based bonuses.
Vacation:10 paid working days in the first year; 12 working days after the first year.
Sick Days:5 paid sick days annually.
